Symposium 1 - Creating Financial Intelligence from ESG Rating and Sentiment: A Big Data Application for Hong Kong Listed Firms (21 Mar 2024)
In Symposium 1, we explained how big data and AI techniques can increase the value of applications for business professionals in assessing ESG performance for listed companies. We specially demonstrated some business choices could be supported by our in-house developed ESG performance measure. Seminar 2: Application of Big Data Analytics on ESG Corporate Performance: A News and Social Media Perspective (15 Nov 2023)
Seminar 2 began with technical presentation on employing big data analytics and machine learning tools for ESG evaluation. 3D Python visualisations were shown to understand the implications from ESG news and social media sentiment. Top 100 and Bottom 100 firms from the i-Composite Scorecard was announced.

Technical Issues and Business Opportunity of Big Data Applications on Reflecting Corporate ESG Performance (14 Aug, 2023)
Seminar 1 “Technical Issues and Business Opportunity of Big Data Applications on Reflecting Corporate ESG Performance” aims to explain the importance of AI tools to evaluate the ESG performance of corporations. Representatives from YoujiVest introduced their ESG sentiment data used for this project. The seminar featured some initial output through a Python-based three-dimensional visualisation and a joint research project on the effect of ESG disagreements towards the ESG performance of corporations.
