Professor Louis Cheng

Professor Louis Cheng has a strong record in delivering ESG related research and events since he was Professor of Finance and CESEF Centre Director at PolyU and continues this effort at HSUHK. He has experience in Fintech development application and book writing. He served as a member of the Investment Committee of the Hospital Authority Provident Fund Scheme (2016-2022) in which he promoted ESG integration for an investment portfolio of about HKD68bil (as of March 2020). Dr. Cheng actively engages in ESG research and published papers in ESG and green bonds. He received various research funds (exceeding HKD8mil) related to ESG and FinTech.

Dr Liane Lee

Dr Liane Lee has 15 years of senior management experience in product management and large-scale strategic project experiences and represented HSBC in developing landmark infrastructure financial projects such as Renminbi and Deposit Protection Scheme with the Hong Kong Monetary Authority. Her last post was Chief Operating Officer of a mining company based in the Asia Pacific region with a strong focus on sustainable mining practices, where she works with the geologist to device in sustainability plans to reinstate the original habitat and indigenous tribes that reside in the mine fields. Dr Lee received donation grants of HKD$360k in big data analytics: workforce analytics. Her research focuses on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) related topics, media’s impact on stock price, and sentiment big-data analytics.

Mr Eugene Yat Him Chan

Mr Eugene Yat Him Chan is Acting Head of BA (Hons) Public Relations and International Events Management at THEi of Hong Kong. Prior to academia, Mr Chan was Partner and Group Head of Digital Strategy for Creative Consulting Group, CHEIL Pengtai respectively. He holds various management positions in areas of digital communication at MTR, Edelman and the Hong Kong Football Association. He is a member of ITF General Support Programme Vetting Committee, Marine Fish Scholarship Fund and Fish Marketing Advisory Boards, panel member of Administrative Appeals Board, HKSAR, and Member, Media and Communications Training Board, VTC. He received a Master of Arts (Social Policy Development and Research Studies) and Master of Arts (Contemporary Chinese History) from PEKING University. Mr Chan received donation grants of HKD$95k on "Brandwatch big data public relations monitoring tool".
